Interview George Allen Miller– Our Favorite Sci-Fi

Interview George Allen Miller– Our Favorite Sci-Fi

Introduction

Hello my apocalypse survivors.  This week we present to you the penultimate in the series of interviews from our summer break between seasons.

‘Penultimate’ is a great word you can use to impress your friends at cocktail parties.  It means ‘second to last’ in our modern usage.  The literal Latin translation is closer to ‘Almost Last’.

The term Cocktail is believed to be from a description of a horse’s pedigree or even from giving a horse a suppository, but know one really knows.

But – anyhow – the reason you care is that I will post one more interview after this one and then start season five on the 6th of September 2024.

I enjoyed speaking with George who is a Science Fiction writer about the craft of writing and what we love about the genre, I think you’ll enjoy it too.

The interview is about 20 minutes and I’ll come back with a quick update at the end.

Author BIO:

Hi Chris!

I'd love to be on your podcast! What days/time works for you? I put together a media kit on my website, www.georgeallenmiller.com, with details about me, the book, and areas we can talk about.

George Allen Miller was born in Cheverly, Maryland, just outside of Washington D.C. He has called the DC, Maryland and Virginia area, commonly called the DMV, his home for half a century. He has been writing ever since he was fifteen just after reading his first science fiction book by Isaac Asimov.

A life long fan of science fiction, George soon found a fondness for hard-boiled detective novels and humorous fantasy and SciFi.

Eugene McGillicuddy’s Alien Detective Agency is George’s first published novel.

Outro

That was a good, high-energy interview and we’ll need to get him back on when his next book drops.  I acquired his first book on Kindle for $3.99 and plan to add it to my rotation.

I have been reading and listening to a lot of books this summer – probably close to a dozen at this point.  I won’t bore you with all the reviews, but reading for me is essentially research into the craft of writing, (as well as entertainment).  We all need input – input feeds the rock tumblers in our brains .

Thank you survivors for bearing with me as a I work through the between seasons interregnum.

I have mapped out Season 5 and have started writing.  I expect the first new episode to drop on Friday September 6th – maybe a week earlier for subscribers.

So we are close!

As of today we have 599 members in our Facebook group.

You can join our Facebook group, which is mostly dad jokes and movie references right now.

You can also subscribe on Acast or Patreon to support the show.

You can buy me a coffee.

The links are all in the show notes and on my website at oldmanapocalypse.com

I hope you have been gathering up firewood and food, because winter is coming!

I’ll meet you back at the bunker.

Keep surviving!
