Hello survivors!
As the nuclear winter grabs us in its icy grasp and the dry, frigid, howling winds assault the bunker we huddle together for warmth, coughing and sniveling with sickness and fighting over the last scraps of dried food – but somehow, through all this misery there is celebration in the air.
Why? Why? I ask again, (with great theatrical flair) WHY?
Because After the Apocalypse, Book one, the old man has been released and is available for your reading pleasure.
This is a novelization of the first season. I suspect many of you are readers, I know I am, and this was my goal from the beginning to create a book version of the series that was high quality and something we could all be proud of.
And I think we did that. It is a beautiful 362 physical pages long. It’s been through many, many edits since you first heard it on the podcast. There are new chapters and new structure and I’m so excited to have you read it.
“So Chris”, you may ask, “How do we get our hands on it?”
Well I’m glad you asked. It is available everywhere that books are sold. You can get a hard copy or an e-copy. There is no audio version yet but that is on my to-do list.
But the best place to buy it is at my publisher’s website which is www.booklocker.com When you get there you can search on the title or you can search on my name. I will also put a direct link in the show notes and on my website at www.oldmanapocalypse.com
If you are so excited that you want me to sign a copy and send it to you, I can do that, just shoot me an email at cyktrussell at gmail dot com.
That’s it for now. Thank you so much for sticking with me through this journey. I could not have done it without you and I am extremely proud, and humbled by, the work we’ve accomplished together.
Thank you so much.
For those of you binge surfing in from the future on a wave of tachyon radiation this show will make its early arrival to the select few subscribers on Friday January 17th 2025, and for the rest of you ungrateful freeloading vermin Friday January 24th 2025.
That’s right, if you wander over to Acast you can buy a version that is Ad-free and a week early.
But all in all I’m surviving fairly effectively and I hope you all are too.
I have been reading a lot and I bought a subscription to ParamountPlus for my wife to watch some dumb cop shows, but as a bonus there are a couple Star Trek series I can watch there.
But for this week I’m not going to overwhelm you with a bunch of reviews.
I’m just going leave you with that celebratory vibe and ask you to go check out the book.
I’m quite proud of it.
And that’s it, my survivor friends, hope the dust clouds clear soon so we can plant some crops and fight off the mutant grasshopper hoards and keep surviving.
