The Stoned Genius Interview

Hello my survivor friends.  Today I present a far-ranging, long form interview that I did for the Stoned Genius Podcast.

The TLDNR is a) If you are looking for the main narrative this is not that.  Season 5 will start up again at the end of the summer.  And b) this is me being interviewed on another podcast and is over an hour and a half long – so you have been warned and c) I’ll drop the full interview here and will not put in any outro comments.

The interviewer is Rodney – “the Stoned Genius”.  He produces the eponymous podcast and interviews all kinds of different and interesting people.

I enjoyed having a conversation with him.  I don’t get enough opportunities to interact with interesting people.  I used to travel more and could scratch that itch.  These days I’m felling a bit of cabin fever.  I need to find a way to get out more and interact.

Send me suggestions on groups I should join.

This interview covers a lot of ground.  Rodney was more interested in my long-distance running exploits than my writing and podcasting.  So, get ready to learn some things about me that you probably didn’t know.

Rodney’s a curious soul.

That’s what I love about podcasting.  Any curious soul can find and connect with their tribe.

If like what he’s doing you can find more at the Stoned Genius Podcast.

Show description:

The Stoned Genius" is a podcast that blends humor and cannabis culture, exploring a wide range of topics through the lens of genius enjoying marijuana. Hosted by Ro Martin the show features discussions, interviews, and even comedic skits, all infused with a lighthearted and often irreverent tone.

Like I said – I’ll skip the outro comments on this episode because the interview is lengthy.

I gave myself 3 goals for the summer.  First was to train for a 100K trail race on my birthday in November.  That’s going well enough, I’m starting to get into some longer runs and I’ve been doing them in the mornings with my dog in the trails to avoid the heat of the day.

My second goal was to lose some weight, which is going ok.  I haven’t lost a lot, but I’m healthy and I’m also building muscle.

The third goal, which is related to ATA, is to finish editing the manuscript of season one.  I was hoping to finish at the end of June, but have found it’s more work than I budgeted.  And, I’ve discovered that it’s not something that can be done in 20 minute chunks of available free time.  It requires me to load the whole story into my RAM and then stay focused for longer sessions.

So – not to be deterred, I pivoted and have scheduled some days off from work to go down to my local public library and spend some quality time on it.

I find my life, as I’m sure you do as well, so crowded that I need to create space to get these sort of hi-value things done.

Challenge excepted!

How about a zombie story where they won’t eat you if you’re stoned, so the whole storyline is how to procure the best weed for zombie inoculation?

No?  OK – you be you – enjoy your summer break and Keep surviving!
